Rosa Mystica Modesty Movement

Well, after a too-long time of nothing happening here, I am "back"! Really, I've been present all along at my blog, but have sadly — though unintentionally — neglected this website for the past score of months. One of the biggest reasons is that this past school year, our Lord handed me the position of DRE (Director of Religious Education) at our parish. What I didn't realize before the fact was that adjusting to my role and the challenges therein would cause me to all but abandon my mission here for a while! It has remained closer than ever to my heart, however, and now that summer is near I hope and pray to be able to revive this work in a fresh, new, and even more vibrant way.

Spring is such a wonderful time...of new life bursting forth all around us, earth waking and breaking free from her winter's sleep. What a perfect time for our hearts to "wake from sleep" as well, to break free from whatever keeps us from the fullness of life that our Lord promised us (John 10:10). He will revive and refresh us as He does His world... if we but let Him. May the immortally fragrant blossoms of virtue come to bloom in our souls, just as blossoms mortal bloom all around us right now. May the blue of our Mother's mantle envelop us as the endless sky on a perfect Spring day. May the life-giving rays of the Son beam brilliantly upon our hearts to thaw and warm them and remove every trace of the chill of sin.

"I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you,
taking from your bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural hearts."

The Rosa Mystica Modesty Movement will be present at the 2008 Illinois Catholic Homeschool Conference and Vendor Fair. Resources will be available in the vendor hall, and Claire along with her sister Sarah will be presenting a workshop on "The Fruits of Homeschooling".
